Obituary for Betty Ann Jensen

 Betty A. Jensen was born to Emil and Alice (Laun) Krupicka on September 3, 1934 in Milligan, Nebraska and passed away on November 1, 2021 in Geneva, Nebraska at the age of 87.

Betty attended grade school at a country school in the Milligan area and graduated from Milligan High School. After graduation, Betty attended Doane College in Crete, Nebraska where she obtained her teacher’s certificate. She taught school in a little one room schoolhouse outside of Milligan, NE for a while before getting married.

Betty was married to Oliver F. Jensen on October 15, 1955 in Milligan, Nebraska. To this union, two children were born, Denese and Randall.

Betty was a stay-at-home mother and truly valued every minute of it. She enjoyed cooking and baking. There were always homemade treats waiting for her children when they came home from school. While being a homemaker, she was also an Avon representative for several years.

Betty enjoyed roller skating and going to dances. Many weekends were spent dancing and playing cards with various card groups. She enjoyed attending activities for the kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to go shopping, always trying to find just the right purse and was a frequent Bath and Body Works customer.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Oliver; her parents, Emil and Alice Krupicka and brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Marilyn Krupicka.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter, Denese (David) Becker; son, Randy (Susan) Jensen. Granddaughters, Melissa (Tim) Moore; Heather Becker and special friend, Kyle Ediger; Amanda Beard; and Megan (Dustin) Crawford. Great-grandchildren, Avery and Kennedy Moore; Knox Andreasen; Ryan and Wyatt Beard; and Emmett, Evan, Emsley and Everett Crawford and two nephews.
