Greg Heffley begins middle school determined to survive the social hierarchy and become popular. His plans, however, are repeatedly undermined by embarrassing situations, bad decisions, and his complicated friendship with Rowley. It's a humorous look at growing up and navigating school.
Greg's collection of notes about his school's biggest bullies falls into the wrong hands, putting him in a race to prevent his secrets from being exposed. His best friend Rowley and a little karate knowledge may be his only defenses.
The second book in The Perfect Score series follows five seventh-graders dealing with family problems, sports, friendship, school, and secrets. Each character faces a different challenge, but the common thread is learning that keeping—or revealing—a secret can have significant consequences.
