Pictured are a couple of Mr. Jackson Krejci's Reading
Mastery students Tyler Due and Josh Meyer working hard on their independent
reading. The group's focus this semester has been two finger tracking
while following along as they take turns reading. After the group reads
together they then read independently. The last thing they do to check for
understanding is complete their independent work which includes answering
questions from their story.

Exeter-Milligan Standout Signs with Central Community College
Exeter-Milligan Senior Logan Zeleny signed with Central Community College on Wednesday, March 26th. Zeleny will play catcher this fall as the Columbus catcher.
On hand to see her sign were her parents Jim and Liz Zeleny, Assistant Fillmore Central/Exeter-Milligan softball coach Lorie Sliefert and Central Community College Athletic Director and Softball Coach Jack Gutierrez.
Gutierrez quipped that "Signing Logan was a win win. We recruit only Nebraska kids and Logan comes out of a good program."
Zeleny is looking forward to heading to Columbus, "I know people there and I couldn't give softall up yet. They have a really nice program."
Zeleny plans to major in Elementary Education at Columbus and then transfer to a state college.
"CCC is close enough to home but not too close. I'm really excited about the experience," said Zeleny.
This season as the catcher for the Fillmore Central/Exeter-Milligan Panther Softball Team Zeleny was selected for the Southern Nebraska Conference first team. Zeleny was also selected on the York News-Times All-Area Softball Team and was given an honorable mention on the Class C Super State Team.

Exeter-Milligan Update: Applied Science Class
Exeter-Milligan
Science Update by Lorie Sliefert
The
Applied Science class has been studying Siege Machines and each student has
built model catapults. By varying the projectile size and tension
used to power the catapult, they investigated how far the projectile
traveled. They also made trebuchets,
shown in the picture. They calculated how much mass they need in order for the projectile to hit a wall
that was placed a set distance away. Pictured are Devin Sheffield
(sitting) and Broc Mueller testing their trebuchets.
