Death Notice Camille Kuska

Kuska, Camille M. Age 92 Bettendorf, Iowa died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Davenport.
She was married to Don Kuska of Bettendorf, IA. One daughter, Cindy Buchman of Bettendorf, IA with five Grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Monday, July 20th. Visitation prior to funeral from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Farmer Funeral Home Exeter, NE.

Memorials are directed to the family. Burial at Bohemian National Cemetery in Milligan, NE

Obituary for Roger Neeman

Roger Walter Neemann was born to Edwin and Emma (Wohlers) Neemann February 25th, 1944 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. He was the youngest of three boys. Roger, who was called Wally throughout his life, grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and attended Lincoln Public Schools.

His father died in May 1957, leaving his mother to raise three sons.

In 1959 Wally and his mother moved to Friend, Nebraska when she married Leo Kasl, who owned a farm two miles south of Friend.

Wally attended Friend Public School until the age of seventeen when he married Faye Conner on September 11, 1961 and they lived in Lincoln, Nebraska for the next twenty years.

To this union four daughters were born: Lori Lea, Angela Dee, Shellie Ann and Sherri Lynn. In 1981 Wally, Faye and their daughters moved to Exeter, Nebraska and purchased a bar, and named it Gator's Pub, getting the nickname "Gator" for the rest of his life. They owned the bar together for 28 years.

One by one Gator and Faye's daughters grew up and married and gave them 11 grandchildren.

Gator's survivors include: Wife of 47 years Faye Neemann. Daughters and Sons-in-law; Lori and Steve Becker of Exeter, Angie and Jeff Hansen of Cordova, Shellie and Kent Olsen of Beaver Crossing and Sherri and Travis Due of Cordova. Grandchildren; Roger, Connor, Crystal and James Becker all of Exeter. AJ and wife Brittany Hansen, Chevy Hansen, all of Cordova. Brayden, Eric, Emma Olsen of Beaver Crossing. Macy and Tyler Due of Cordova. Aunt: Lorraine McGaugh, Cook, NE. Uncle: Walter Wohlers, Banning, CA. Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law: Ruth Ekeler, Exeter. Ernestine and Gene Felton, Cathlament, WA., Janice and Norm Marfice, Omaha., Miles (Dick) Snell, Seattle, WA. , Jay and Jo Woodward, Omaha., Dale and Kay Miller, Peoria, AZ. Bob and Marty Mitchell, Edison, NE., Ron Hughes, Lincoln, Annabelle Neemann, Lincoln. Many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Gator was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, step-father Leo Kasl, brothers Don and Arwin Neemann, brothers-in-law Willy Ekeler and Ray Snell, and sister-in-law Arlene Snell.

Memorial services will be conducted from the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cordova, Nebraska on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., with JA Welsh and Rev. Paul Konig officiating. Private family graveside will be held at the Exeter Cemetery at a later time.

Spring Academic All-State Exeter-Milligan Students

The Nebraska School Activities Association recently released the Spring 2009 Academic All-Star Award Recipients.

To be nomiated as an Academic All-Star, the student must meet the following leadership and scholarship criteria.
-A nominated student must be a varsity player or organizational leader who has played a significant role on the team or in the organizational activity during the seasons for which nominations are accepted.
-A nominated student must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average, in all curricular subjects, of 93 percent or 3.7 on a 4.0-point scale or the equivalent.
-NSAA high schools or their cooperative sponsorship may nominate a maxiumu of two students per NSAA activity program.
