The Fillmore County Development Corporation reported that Mary Johnson and Patt Lentfer of the Fillmore County Development Corporation joined other rural Nebraskans at the Governor’s Conference on Rural Development in Kearney on November 19th. The theme of the conference was “Rethinking Strategy for sustainable Communities.”

The Exeter United Methodist Women hosted their Annual Cookie Walk and Fruit and Nut Sale in the Memorial Room of the church on Thursday morning.  They welcomed everyone and served punch, coffee and cookies.

Exeter-Milligan Update: Language Arts

 

Language Arts update at Exeter-Milligan

English classes at Exeter-Milligan High School are focusing on writing this year.  Students wrote informative pieces for the first quarter.  In the second quarter, the emphasis will be on a research paper with citations and sources for information.  Seniors at Exeter-Milligan High School write informative essays.  Pictured below are Jackson Beethe, Brock Steuben, Casey Jindra, Sean Gibson, Blake Meyer, and Daisy Kanode.  Dylan Bonds and Natalie Staskal are not pictured.
