Visitor in Town

Many may have seen the horse and buggy traveling through Exeter on Wednesday.  Lee the Horselogger is traveling from Montana to Boston one last time.

This is his fifth trip across the US by horse and buggy and quite possibly his last.  He takes a different route each time but impending blindness may stop his travels.

He and his horse (and a beaver) travel the byways and small highways enjoying every minute of a slower pace of travel.  He left Montana in August but got waylaid by some health issues for Jesse the horse.

The pair usually travels about 3 miles an hour up to 16 miles a day before finding a place to settle down.  A friend of a friend led him to his resting spot on Highway 6 in Exeter.

Lee grabbed a quick shower before heading to the Exeter-Milligan school to be show and tell for the elementary students.
