EMF Opens Volleyball season with Jamboree

 

EMF Bobcats Take Down 2022 D-1 State Champions

 EMF came out fighting against Clarkson Leigh on Friday night in Friend.  Clarkson Leigh came out and scored on their first possession with EMF answering.  The score was 14 EMF to 16 Clarkson Leigh at the end of the first quarter but EMF tied it up at half.  EMF didn't look back after the half and boosted the score 44 to 38 at the end of the third quarter.  They held Clarkson Leigh scoreless in the fourth quarter and tacked on a few more points.  Final 58-38  The Bobcats will meet McCool Junction in McCool on Friday afternoon at 2:00 pm  (unless the time is changed due to heat).

Elaine Oldehoeft, GFWC Exeter Woman's Club President, received an award from National GFWC headquarters.  Elaine had submitted a  photo for the 2014 GFWC "Year in Pictures" calendar, and her picture was chosen for the month of February.  NFWC President, Pat Gage, made the presentation at Dist IV Workshop in Wilber on July 19, 2013.

 

Generations Bank, Exeter, Nebraska has announced the addition of a new service through a partnership with La Vista, Nebraska based Securities America.  With this new service, Exeter native Derek Betka will be serving as an independent advisor for Securities America and will have an office located in the Generations Bank building.

EMF Lady Bobcats Split Sets at Jamboree

 The EMF Lady Bobcats posted a win for the first set of the season in the cooperative.  They were up against a tough Superior team in the Jamboree hosted in Friend.  The lost the second set by just a few points and then met the Deshler Dragons.  They lost the first set to Deshler but came back to win the second set.
