EMF exits MUDECAS A Division

The EMF Lady Bobcats couldn't keep their winning streak going as they faced tough competition at the MUDECAS tournament.  Seeded number six in the "A" division they found themselves facing the number three seed Freeman to open the tournament.  Although they gave it a fight the first set, both sets went to Freeman.  Tuesday evening they met Diller-Odell, seeded number two in the tournament and after leading for most of the set, dropped it 20-25.  They also lost the second set. They will meet Sutton in Exeter on Tuesday.

EMF Football loses heartbreaker in triple overtime

The EMF Bobcats traveled to Sandy Creek on Friday night knowing they were in for a fight.  The first quarter ended with the Bobcats on top 8-6.  In the second quarter the Bobcats maintained their lead except for about 39 seconds before Breckan Schluter broke free after Payne returned the kickoff to midfield.  The third quarter ended with the Bobcats ahead 34-26.  With 7:19 left in the game the Cougars scored again making it 34-40.  The Bobcats answered quickly putting 6 on the board but the two point conversion was denied.  EMF's Draven Payne recovered a Cougar fumble and Schluter powered it in the end zone 46-40 Bobcats ahead.  He made the 2 pt as well making it 48-40 with 105 left in the game but with 8 seconds left in the game the Cougars tied it up.  Neither team scored in the first overtime and both scored 8 in the second,  the third overtime the Cougars scored 8 and the Bobcats scored six and were stopped just inches shy for the two point.  Final score 62-64 and Bobcats get their first loss of the season.  Homecoming is in Milligan next Friday against Freeman.  Exeter-Milligan Booster club will be having their burger feed.
