Throwback Thursday Week of June 22

The Garmet, Gadget giveaway store opened downtown. It is a ministry of the Exeter United Methodist Church whose members hope to give more away than physical items. They hope to serve anyone in the community by becoming a place that people can stop in and find whatever they might need for free.
The seed for the store was planted when their minister, Jeff Adams, gave a charge that the church should have a mission in the community. Committee members are Roma Rhodes, Erma Adamson and Sherry Mounce.  A food pantry was part of the storefront as well.

There was an American Legion Bloodmobile on June 25.

Exeter Village Maintenance Supervisor John Mueller began filling the Exeter Aquatic Center on Monday morning.  The pool is scheduled to open on July 1 but may be ready earlier, even by this weekend.  As the directed health measures change so will the guidelines for pool use.
Update:  Pool will not be ready until June 30 at the earliest.
