Lots have been declared abandoned property,
And will revert to the City of Exeter. That
Portion of the State Statue 12-701 and 12-702.
Owners, heirs or near relatives must contact
The City of Exeter or the Exeter Cemetery
Association in writing within one year of
Publishing this notice to claim the cemetery

Get Ready for Exeter Fun Days!
The weekend of July 19th through July 21st
looks to live up to its designation as Exeter Fun Days.
Starting on Friday, there will be community garage sales
starting at 4 p.m. and the co-ed softball tournament will kick off at 6:30
p.m. The evening’s entertainment will be karaoke at John E’s Bar, Grill
& Keno starting at 9 p.m.
Saturday has full day of activities planned with the
community garage sales city wide, the co-ed softball tournament and the Chamber
hosting a Waffle Feed at the Legion from 8 – 10 a.m. Boy Scout Troop 270 will
have a food stand at the softball field from 11 – 1p.m.
Also starting at 8 a.m. will be the Junk in Your Trunk sale
just south of Greg’s. The street will be closed to traffic so shoppers
can browse until noon for trunkful’s of treasures. There will also be a
Craft and Vender fair at the Legion from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Library will
be holding their book sale from 8 – noon.
If shopping isn’t up your alley then head to the Fire Hall
at 9 a.m. for a bullhead fishing tournament.
The afternoon is all about the kids with activities like
face painting, sand art and a corn cash dig downtown in front of Speece
Chiropractic from 1 – 5 p.m.
For the afternoon swimming is free at the Exeter Aquatic
Center starting at 1:30 p.m. Don’t forget to stop by the Legion at 4 p.m.
for an hour of Bingo with prizes provided by the Exeter Chamber of
Commerce.
The Kids and Pets Parade will be held downtown at 5 p.m.
just before the Exeter Volunteer Fire and Rescue BBQ, Beer Garden and Street
Dance starts. Featured acts are Rusty Nichol and Who’s Bill Anyway from
5:00 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Sunday’s activities include free swimming at the aquatic
center starting at 1:30 p.m., the continuation of the softball tournament (if
needed) and a bubble making contest at John E’s at 2 p.m.
These events are sponsored by and will benefit the Exeter
Volunteer Fire Department and the Exeter Chamber of Commerce. The event
is also being supported by the Fillmore County Visitor’s Committee, Perennial
Public Power District and the American Legion Post 218.
