The Exeter Volunteer Fire Department sponsored a softball tournament along with a street dance and bbq over the weekend. Saturday night entertainment featured Rusty Nichol from 5 - 9 and the Timmery and Joe took over the stage from 9 - 1 a.m. The fire department served bbq beef sandwiches, hotdogs, fresh corn and smoked chicken. Bobbi Roach’s team from Friend won the tournament on Sunday.
The
Exeter Chamber of Commerce hosted a car show during Exeter days. The Best of Show honors went to Dennis and
Kathy Tessman and grandson Jake of Hastings for their 1955 Chevy. Alan Michl won top honors in the muscle car category with his
Dodge Challenger and Randy Jensen won best motorcycle with his 1942
Harley-Davidson.
The Exeter Chamber of Commerce sponsored kiddie games at the Exeter Fun Days. The games were run by the Exeter-Milligan Cheerleaders with a few extra helpers.
