Exeter-Milligan Student Chosen for All-National Honor Band

Jordyn Brandt, a Senior at Exeter-Milligan High School, has been chosen to play flute in the 2014 All-National Honor Band, sponsored by the National Association for Music Education. Auditions were only accepted from students who participated in their state's 2013 All-State Band as underclassmen. Jordyn was the only student from Nebraska to be selected for the Honor Band. The band will consist of approximately 150 of the top high school musicians in the nation. Conductor for the Honor Band will be Mark Camphouse, Professor of Music, at George Mason University. The program will also feature the All-National Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Choir. Rehearsals will be held Oct. 26-28 in Nashville, Tennessee. The concert will be performed on Oct. 29 at the Grand Ole Opry.
