Do you live
in the Exeter community and have a child that was born after April 2013? If so,
then you and your baby are welcome to take part in the GFWC Exeter Woman’s
Club’s 29th annual “A Tree for Each New Baby” celebration.
The Arbor
Day event will be held April 25, 2014 at the Exeter UCC Church fellowship hall,
beginning at 10:00 a.m. The event will begin with a welcome, and, as part of
the celebration, the Exeter-Milligan second graders will present a program.
The
Exeter Woman’s Club is providing trees and other special gifts to be presented
to the babies and their mothers. Seedling trees will be also available to the
Exeter-Milligan second-graders, for their contributions to event. In addition,
guest speakers will help commemorate the day.
The club
wants to make sure that every eligible baby is included! All babies born since
Arbor Day 2013, and whose parents reside in the original Exeter School District
are welcome. New parents who are eligible and want to participate, but have not
yet received an invitation, should call 402-266-4411 as soon as possible.
