Four Webelos Scouts from Exeter Pack 218 along with their
parents stayed at Camp Cornhusker from July 7 – 10 for Webelos Camp.
Despite the hot weather, the scouts, Clint Oldehoeft, Blake
Meyer, Braden Capek and Ben Bartu enjoyed participating in a number of
activities. They earned their Readyman badge, worked on their Aquanaut
badge, took rowboats out on the lake, shot bb guns and did archery.
The scouts slept in tents they helped put up, did a lot of
hiking and performed two skits, one of which was an original the boys helped
create. The boys did two leather craft projects and practiced their knife
skills. They also worked on learning the Boy Scout Law, Oath and Promise.
Parents attending were Cubmaster Leesa Bartu, Den Leader
Carol Capek, Heather Meyer and Jason Oldehoeft.
