at the Exeter Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt.
The annual Exeter Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt was
held on Sunday, March 25th inside the Exeter-Milligan gym due to the
rain. The event is orchestrated by the Exeter-Milligan Family, Career and
Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).
The group starts several weeks before the event and fills
over 1000 eggs to prepare for the afternoon hunt. FCCLA not only donates
their time but also provides quite a bit of the fillings and each year adds
more eggs to replace broken and lost eggs.
This year they added a large egg for each child to find that
held a small stuff animal.
The FCCLA students run the egg hunt hiding all the eggs and
then monitoring the kids as they hunt. The Easter bunny also makes an
appearance for photos and also hands out extra treats.
This year close to 50 children hunted eggs in the four
different age groups.
