Second
Grade Celebrates Women’s History Month
Women’s
History Month is an annual declared month highlighting the contributions of
women in the United States. By studying about famous women, myths about what
women “can’t” do can be broken and history is inspirational to future
generations. In honor of Women’s History Month, Mrs. Marla Weber’s second grade
students at Exeter-Milligan each selected a woman, either from history or in
contemporary society, in which to research. Each student created an iPad
presentation to share with classmates. Learning about these important
individuals students can draw pride, comfort and courage from their
achievements, leadership and strength.
