FCDC Hosts State Department of Economic Development Staff
The Fillmore County Development
Corporation (FCDC) hosted staff from the Nebraska Department of Economic
Development and economic development consultants from Nebraska Public Power
District and Black Hills Energy, on September 27th. Also joining the group was Jen Olds and Craig
Eberle from Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD).
The group toured throughout
Fillmore County and had the opportunity to see the available industrial sites
and buildings in Exeter, Fairmont, and Geneva. Patt Lentfer, Director of the
FCDC, also shared information about the communities and businesses throughout the
county.

President Karla Jacobson joined the group at the Industrial site on “R” Street
to welcome the group and talk about the available infrastructure at the
site.
The stop in Fillmore County was
part of the Lincoln Area Development Partnership (LADP) Familiarization Tour
and also included stops in Seward and York County. The partnership is a regional group that
works together to promote business growth throughout Southeast Nebraska. The Lincoln Area Development Partnership
includes counties and communities in Southeast Nebraska, Black Hills Energy, Southeast
Community College, NuTech Ventures and Nebraska Innovation Campus.
