FCDC Hosts Group

FCDC Hosts State Department of Economic Development Staff

The Fillmore County Development Corporation (FCDC) hosted staff from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and economic development consultants from Nebraska Public Power District and Black Hills Energy, on September 27th.  Also joining the group was Jen Olds and Craig Eberle from Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD).

The group toured throughout Fillmore County and had the opportunity to see the available industrial sites and buildings in Exeter, Fairmont, and Geneva. Patt Lentfer, Director of the FCDC, also shared information about the communities and businesses throughout the county.

Mayor Rod Norrie and FCDC Board President Karla Jacobson joined the group at the Industrial site on “R” Street to welcome the group and talk about the available infrastructure at the site.

The stop in Fillmore County was part of the Lincoln Area Development Partnership (LADP) Familiarization Tour and also included stops in Seward and York County.  The partnership is a regional group that works together to promote business growth throughout Southeast Nebraska.  The Lincoln Area Development Partnership includes counties and communities in Southeast Nebraska, Black Hills Energy, Southeast Community College, NuTech Ventures and Nebraska Innovation Campus.
