Robert Lawrence "Bob" Gloystein, 72, passed away on May 8, 2026. Bob was born on November 23, 1953, in Seward, Nebraska, to Lawrence and Eleanor (Blum) Gloystein. He grew up on a farm outside of Utica, Nebraska, with two brothers, Lynn and Doug.
Bob graduated from Centennial High School in Utica in 1972, where he was an outstanding athlete setting several school records in track and field. In his younger years, Bob enjoyed farming, gardening, and coaching high school football and track. He was a fan of Husker athletics and especially loved following Nebraska football, volleyball, and basketball on both radio and TV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Eleanor Gloystein, and his father-in-law, Art Richter.
