Exeter-Milligan Hosts Open House

Exeter-Milligan Public School hosted an Open House Monday August 12th at both campuses.  Students, their parents, along with community members were welcome to meet the faculty and staff, view the school and the equipment.  Students could find their classes, check out their desks and talk to their teachers.  Above,  Brett Kallhoff, who started Kindergarten on Wednesday was excited to find his desk.

New Aquatic Center Hours to Begin on Wednesday

With school starting at Exeter-Milligan, the Exeter Aquatic Center will be adjusting their hours.  Starting on Wednesday, August 14th the pool will be open from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Hours until Labor Day will be:
Wednesdays 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Friday 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Saturday 1:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Sunday 1:30 - 7:30 p.m. (break from 4:30 - 5:30)
Labor Day 1:30 - 7:30 p.m. (break from 4:30 - 5:30)
The pool will be closed on Saturday, August 24th

Exeter-Milligan to Host Open House

Exeter-Milligan will host an open house at both campuses on August 12 from 5 - 7 p.m.  This is a great opportunity for your kids to meet their new teachers and see their new classrooms.  All of the facilities will be open to the public for an opportunity to tour as well. 

Exeter Cub Scouts Learn to Bowl

Cub Scouts in Exeter Pack 218 enjoyed an afternoon learning to bowl in York last Monday.  The scouts also got some tips and a tour from Bob Crosby at the bowling alley.  After bowling two games the scouts stopped for supper and headed by to Exeter.  The paused for a picture after they bowled, front row from the left Josh Meyer, Tyler Due, Mikey Bartu and Troy Kallhoff, back row from the left Blake Meyer, Clint Oldehoeft, Ben Bartu and Braden Capek.

Wilber Czech Queen has ties to the area

Emily Manning was named the Wilber Czech Queen this year.  She is the daughter of Mark and Leanne Manning of Kramer and the granddaughter of Tom and Marilyn Manning of Burress and Rex and the late Betty Brown of rural Fairmont.  Congratulations Emily!

What to recycle and where can I recycle it???

In Exeter, our recycling trailer holds:

Newspapers - not in any bags or tied
Magazines
#1 - no lids, rinsed and smashed
#2 - no lids, rinsed and smashed
Tin cans - rinsed and smashed
aluminum cans - rinsed and smashed
cardboard - must be corrugated - no 12 or 24 pack boxes, no cereal boxes - you must be able to look on a cut edge of the cardboard and see wavy paper in between layers.

Where can I recycle things that I can't recycle in Exeter?

Exeter-Milligan School Information

The August Newsletter, which contains all pertinent school information, is available online at www.emwolves.org,.  If you would like a newsletter mailed, please contact the school at 266-5911

Football, softball and girls golf practice start Monday, August 12^th.  Volleyball practice starts Monday, August 19^th.  Students must have a physical before they participate in athletics.  Please call the school if you have any questions.

An Open House, at each site, is scheduled for Monday, August 12^th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  This is a time to meet with teachers, students may finalize schedules, and everyone may tour the facility.  Parent packets will be distributed at this time.

The first day of school for students will be Wednesday, August 14^th with a dismissal time of 2:21PM.
