Kenneth Dwayne Bolte, age 87, from Exeter, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
Kenneth graduated from Exeter High School in 1954. After high school, he started farming on the family farm and played in several polka bands. He married his wife, Delores Pawlish, in November 1959 and lived on the family farm northeast of Exeter.
During his life, he learned the carpentry trade. He was passionate about his woodworking projects, remodeling, and building homes. Kenneth loved the outdoors: fishing, hunting, farming, raising livestock, and gardening, which always provided a generous amount of produce. He retired 12 years ago and kept busy on the farm. He often went to town for coffee with friends, played cards, and put puzzles together.
His greatest joy in life was his family. He cherished watching his daughter and granddaughter in school activities and celebrating special holidays with homemade food. Knowing his great-grandchildren also brought him much enjoyment.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Delores; daughter Laurie Schaal (Jeff); granddaughter Sydney Schreier (Justin); great-grandchildren Soren and Poppy Schreier.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Katherine Bolte, and his grandparents.
