The high
school ELA classroom has been busy covering a vast amount of content. English 9
students just wrapped up Romeo and Juliet. On the last day of Act V, students
utilized the stage to act out the final moments of Romeo and Juliet. English 10
students are focusing on the question, “What is the relationship between power
and freedom?” Students have read texts by Malala Yousafzai, John F. Kennedy,
and Franklin D. Roosevelt. English 11 students have been working hard to
decipher between who v. whom and using pronoun references correctly. The
English 12 students just started a new unit on what types of experiences allow
people to discover who they really are. Finally, the journalism students are
working on implementing new equipment into their content creation, like
bluetooth microphones, to promote the latest school events. Be on the lookout
for videos and podcasts to listen to.
