The Exeter-Milligan speech team opened their season by traveling to the inaugural High Plains Meet on Saturday, January 14. All varsity and novice events competed three times during the day. Strong performances were turned in by Morgan White in serious prose and the oral interpretation of drama members, which included White, Logan Krupicka, Kiley Oldehoeft, and Selah Petersen. Also competing and placing in the varsity division was Kmila Benitez in humorous prose and program oral interpretation. Performing at their first high school speech meet in the novice division in individual events were: Krupicka, Petersen, Neal Scott, and Tucker Svec. In novice duet acting, Svec teamed up with Jase Luzum. The E-M speech team will next compete on January 28, at the MUDECAS Conference Meet in Humboldt.
