Exeter-Milligan Update: Fifth Grade News

Fifth Grade News

By Madalynn Fousek, Exeter-Milligan Fifth Grade Instructor

The fifth graders have been busy this 1st quarter. We have started dividing whole numbers and decimals in math. Some of us have a love-hate relationship with long division, but they are continuing to work hard and improve this skill. They are also working hard to have their multiplication facts mastered! Along with that, we have done many science experiments and STEM projects. Our latest STEM project was a wind sock. Students were to design their own wind sock out of cardstock paper, string and tape. They were able to be creative and there were many different types of wind socks that were created. It was great to see their creativity come out during this project!
