Exeter-Milligan Student Chosen for Young Artist Award



                                    
BRANDT TO RECEIVE YOUNG ARTIST AWARDS

    Jordyn Brandt, a Junior at Exeter-Milligan High School, has been selected to receive two awards from UNL- Hixon-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, honoring her accomplishments in the areas of flute and piano.  The Nebraska Young Artist Awards are presented annually to high school juniors for recognition of outstanding talent in the areas of music performance - instrumental or vocal, music composition, visual art, dance, and theatre arts.  To apply students must submit an audition and letter of recommendation from their teacher or private tutor.  Students may audition in up to three areas. 
    Students selected to receive awards will spend the day at UNL on April 9. They will attend a special luncheon with faculty, tour the campus, learn about classes offered at UNL and opportunites in the arts, and attend performances by UNL students.  The day will conclude with an awards ceremony held at the Sheldon Museum of Art.
