Sara Lincoln’s Exeter-Milligan fifth grade class is a
part of a program called Tele-Care. Tele-care
is a service through the extension office. The fifth graders are
responsible for calling citizens of both Exeter and Milligan to check in on
them each morning. The students and members of Tele-care thoroughly enjoy
this. If you are someone who would like a fifth grader to call just to check in
on you each morning, please call the school office so we can add you to the
list. Recently, this years’ Tele-Care members and the 5th grade
met to put a name with a voice.

Exeter-Milligan Update: Fourth Grade Learns about Soybeans
In November, Alice Holtz visited Mrs. Shelli Mueller’s
4th grade classroom at Exeter-Milligan to teach
them about the many different uses of soybeans. The class learned from A to Z
about all the products made from soybeans. Alice brought the class chocolate
covered soybeans, soybean crayons and a soybean placemat
printed with soy ink. They all had a great time learning about the many different
uses of soybeans.

Exeter Cub Scouts Visit Care Center
Members of the Exeter Cub Scouts along with their parents
and leaders made Christmas decorations for the residents of the Exeter Care
Center and delivered them on Monday evening. While the boys were there
they sang “Jingle Bells” in many of the residents’ rooms and visited with them. Above Bear Scout Draven Payne works on some ornaments. Below,
