Exeter-Milligan hosted High Plains Friday night in a battle on the boards.
The Exeter-Milligan girls trailed the entire game.  At half-time the Timberwolves were down by five, struggling with their rebounds.  Fourth quarter the ladies turned up the heat and headed into the Storm.  With 2:45 they came within four points and with 1:17 left they closed the gap to two.  Logan Zeleny was fouled and made her shots just before the Storm fouled again and Maitlyn Thomsen made a foul shot.  Sydney Hall broke away and scored and was fouled on her way up.  She got the bucket and a shot bringing it to 39-38 with the Timberwolves ahead.  Madison Horne stole the ball from High Plains and passed to Sydney Hall who scored in traffic.  The final score was 42-38 with the Timberwolves beating the buzzer.

The Timberwolf boys team struggled during the first quarter trailing 27-13.  They made up a few points to trail by just seven at the half and made up one more point by the end of the third quarter. They ended the third down 38-44.  The Timberwolves ran out of time losing 58-60.

Exeter-Milligan Update: Title I

Title I News by Anita Mueller, Title I Director

Title I Reading - The second graders have been learning about the different parts of writing letters.  They have written letters to their pen pals in Friend and to Santa.  I have worked with the Title I students on coming up with ideas, helping with spelling/reversals, and the correct form for letter writing.  They know the parts of a letter with using visuals that Mrs. Weber has taught them.  The first graders have been working on practicing reading out of their Reading Mastery book as well as spelling words that they have been missing.   Some letter formation has also been worked on during our Title I time.  I use a Ziploc bag filled with hair gel, dye, and glitter (pictured).  They use their finger on the bag and then they "feel" and "see" the letter that they have made
