Ron was married to Joan K. Marsh on June 17, 1962 in Exeter, Nebraska. To this union they were blessed with 4 children: Randal, Rick, Ranell, and Ron, Jr. and this was where their story began.

He also enjoyed bowling with his dad and Uncle Bill, along with hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. Ron took an active role in his church, serving on the Church Board for many years, and then carrying on the family tradition of decorating the church for Christmas for over 30 years. Ron was a man of faith, family and deep devotion and these fueled his passion for all he put his hands to. Ron instilled and inspired all those his life has touched, especially his family, in as much shall not be forgotten.
