Exeter-Milligan held their final Honors Night event on Tuesday, May 6 in the Exeter gym.
To open the evening four students were inducted into the National Honor Society in a program presented by the current NHS members. New members include Tucker Svec, Truman Milton, Cohen Harre, and Cheyenne Krupicka.
Several of the teachers gave overviews of their activities this year including Yearbook and Journalism teacher Mrs. Brandi Perez.
Mrs. Kanode reviewed the different art awards and activities for the year and presented the Rookie Art Award to Logan Johnson and the Artist of the Year to both Liberty Johnson and Kmila Benitez.
Music director Mr. Perez recognized the students who participated in extra band contests and presented the eighth grader Directors Award to Beau Becker, and the John Phillips Sousa Award went to Liberty Johnson.
High grade point average awards were presented next with Kora Havel, sixth grade Liam Capek, seventh grade, Brynnlye Johnson, eighth grade, Deacon Erdkamp, ninth grade, Cheyenne Krupicka, tenth grade, Kiley Oldehoeft, eleventh grade, and Kmila Benitez, twelfth grade.
Pioneer Conference medals were awarded to Jayden Capek, Aidan Vavra and K'mila Benitez for their high ACT scores.
Citizenship awards were also presented with American Legion Auxiliary 7-12 female K'mila Benitez, and American Legion 7-12 male Jayden Capek and Liam Capek was presented the all school citizenship award.
The seniors were presented with their scholarships before Student Council member Carter Milton closed the program.
