Fillmore County Relay for Life

Many a snowy day and rainy evening have been spent playing board games, right?  Monopoly, originally known as The Landlord’s Game, has existed since 1902.  The game of Life was originally called The Checkered Game of Life and was produced by Milton Bradley in 1860.  Who can forget their first game of Twister?  It was once appropriately named Pretzel.

There is soon to be a new game in town called Knocking Cancer Off the Board.  The premiere edition will be Saturday, July 28, and you are all invited to be a part of it.  Come out to the Fairgrounds and watch us do our part to knock cancer off the board at the Fillmore County Relay For Life.  There is still time to get your teams ready.

The games begin with a meal at 5:00 PM.  Opening ceremony will be at 7:00PM.  Many more activities are being planned – watch for the details.

If you would like to get a team together and/or buy a luminary please contact Denice Kovanda (dkovanda77@gmail.com, 759-1431) or Kaela Lockhart (schrad3030@yahoo.com, 266-1038).

As Alex Trebek would say, “The answer is, ‘The place to be on July 28th to make a difference in the fight against cancer. ‘ ”  The correct response:  “What is the Fillmore County Relay For Life.”
