Most of the students and community members will recognize
one of their own, Lisa Soukup, who has taken the position of Media Specialist
working with Technology . Soukup, who has lived in Exeter for 23
years, was the Media Specialist in Friend for a number of years. Soukup
grew up in Omaha and graduated from UNL with her degree in Elementary Education

Median Endorsement from UNK. Lisa’s husband, Kenny, works in Geneva and
son Cody (an Exeter-Milligan graduate) works in Gothenburg in Agronomy and son
Kirby is a sophomore at Exeter-Milligan. Soukup is thrilled to be with
the district, “I am excited about finally being able to work with the kids in
the community I live in.”
Another familiar face to the students in Milligan is Allison
Braham. Braham has been substituting for the last year in Milligan.
She graduated from UNL in December of 2010 with a degree in Elementary
Education. In addition to substituting, Braham has taught English as a
second language to adults in the Crete area. She grew up on a farm west of
Wilber and her husband works for Gage County Equipment and also farms around

sixth grade at the Milligan campus. After substituting Braham “is excited to
have a place to call home at Exeter-Milligan.”
