The Exeter-Milligan first grade class posed with their 100th
day shirts and the special projects that they made. They are pictured

Exeter-Milligan elementary students celebrated being 100
days smarter on Friday, January 24th. The kindergarten and
first grade classrooms filled their day with special one hundred counting
activities to commemorate the 100th day of school.
The first grade class started many of their 100th
day projects long before the celebration on Friday. They drew life size
pictures of Exeter-Milligan faculty and staff members as they pictured them at
the age of 100.
Students were encouraged to dress up like 100 year olds
for the day sporting canes, glasses and gray hair. In class they made
special unique t-shirts with the representation of 100 items on them.
Each first grader brought a special project that they
created at home which involved creating a display of 100 items. There
were rose petals, sequins, buttons a timberwolf made from q-tips, a student’s
name spelled in 100 lights along with Legos and pasta.
The first graders also made a giant cookie that 100 candies
mixed in and played lots of games using their counting skills throughout the
day.
At the end of the day the second graders joined the
kindergarten and first graders and they all popped 100 balloons in the hallway.
