Exeter-Milligan Update: Band
Friday, November 10 at 10:00 am the Exeter-Milligan JH/SH Band and JH/Senior High Choir honored our nation's Veterans by performing a variety of patriotic music at the annual Veterans Day Program. The band began by playing The Battle Pavane by Bob Margolis, followed by To Honor America by James Swearingen. After hearing Chad Schroetlin’s inspiring speech, the choir sang This is America by Jill and Michael Gallina and Our America (Medley) by John Higgins.
The program closed once again with everyone’s favorite tradition, a performance by the band of America’s Finest by Jay Bocook, which is an arrangement of the music of the Armed Forces. Anyone who has served in the military is invited to stand as they hear their branch announced and song played by the band. This is the band’s favorite method of honoring the men and women who have served in the military.
Looking ahead for the Exeter-Milligan Music Department, upcoming events are:
· K-6 Winter Concert @ 7:00 pm, December 12th
· 7-12 Winter Concert @ 7:00 pm, December 18th
· Alumni/Community Pep Band @ the December 19th BB game vs. East Butler

Students in grades K-2 were dressed to impress on Tuesday, October 31st, going trick-or-treating in downtown Exeter. Students not only had the joy of trick-or-treating, but also spread some seasonal cheer by singing a few short songs at the senior center.
