Underwood Receives Promotion at Generations Bank

The Board of Directors at Generations Bank in Exeter, Nebraska has announced the promotion of Amie Underwood to Loan Officer. 

Underwood has been employed by Generations Bank since 2010.  Underwood who is a native of McCool Junction has more than 12 years of banking experience.  At Generations Bank Underwood will work primarily with residential real estate and consumer loans but will assist with all other types of lending at the bank.  Underwood is a registered Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.

Underwood is active in the community serving as a 4-H leader.  She has also served as a director for the Exeter Pre-School and on her church council. 

Generations Bank President Alan Emshoff stated “The addition of Underwood to our lending staff will be an asset to the bank.  She has shown that she has the knowledge and the necessary skills to be an effective lender to help the bank continue to grow.”  He said “Her prior banking experience will also help benefit our customers in helping them find the best loan product and bank services to meet their financial needs.”

Exeter Public Library Summer Reading Program!

The Exeter Public Library Summer Reading Program has been a hit this summer.  There have been a few changes to the program this year, with each age group just having one session instead of a weekly session.  Also new this year, was a session for toddler’s that will take place on Friday, June 28^th at 10 a.m. and a session for 4^th and 5^th graders earlier this summer.

Librarian Jessica Votipka is taking some classes this summer to finish her library certification and had to scale back the summer reading program, “I still wanted to do some sort of program to encourage the kids to read this summer but I just didn’t have as much time available.  I look forward to expanding the reading program next summer.”

Some of the activities completed in this summer’s reading program  were a duct tape wallet, paper pinwheels, designed their own giant trap, made an ocean scene and the toddlers will have a program on dinosaur’s.

Votipka “has really enjoyed working with the kids even though it is a lot of work.  I am looking forward to more library reading programs planned throughout the year.”
