"The weather wasn't nice but we had a good day with a steady flow of people," according to Doris Hall one of the organizers behind Friday's American Red Cross Bloodmobile.
There were 34 pints of blood received which was more than their goal.  Bonnie Cudaback received her one gallon pin, John Mueller, Robert Rhodes and Bob Ruhl all received their two gallon pin, Don Bristol received his five gallon pin and Ed Mark received his six gallon pin.
There were three donors who qualified to take the opportunity to give using the double red process which allows the donor to donate double the red blood cells. A special machine is used which extracts the red blood cells from the blood and returns the platelets and plasma back to the donor.
Two new donors to the Exeter Bloodmobile were Nolan Beatham and Shellie Olsen.
It takes many volunteers to help the event go smoothly.  Lunch was served by the UCC Church. Sharon Dyer and Barb Jansen provided cookies while Mary Wince provided the juice.  Workers at the event were Elva McBride, Doris Hall, Shirley Janes and Alice Hall.  Those who helped unload and load all the equipment were Alva Smith, Adam Erdkamp and Warren Hall.
The next American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be April 22nd in Fairmont from 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
