Exeter-Milligan girls finished in 3rd place with points from:

Kaydence Hasse - 200M 3rd place, 60M hurdles - 4th place

Savana Krupicka - 400M - 1st place, 800M -1st place, triple jump - 1st place

Kierra Papik - 3200M - 5th place

Jozie Kanode - 60M hurdles - 5th place, pole vault - 1st place

Selah Petersen - pole vault - 4th place

4 x 400M - 4th place - Kiley Oldehoeft, Kaydence Hasse, Selah Petersen and Savana Krupicka

Math News

The juniors in Advanced Math are finishing their study of the graphs of trigonometric functions.  As they conclude this unit, they are writing and graphing equations using real-world data including sound waves and fluctuation of temperature.  We will also use the statistics features of our TI-84 calculators to determine if data resembles a trigonometric curve and have the calculator write the sinusoidal equation that best fits the data.  Pictured are Dravin Birkes, Draven Payne, and Owen Real.

The largest crowd in a number of years headed to the Exeter Legion on Tuesday night to enjoy the Exeter Chamber of Commerce Pancake Feed.  The group fed close to 300 people in the annual event. Free pancakes, sausage and beverages were on the menu.

 

Phyllis Severson's Computer Applications students, Shelby Bell and Wyatt Clift, were each given an iPad and told, "Use the iMovie application to make a movie on the iPad.  Oh, and by the way you also have to teach yourself how to use the app."  Both students rose to the challenge with each making a 2 minute "movie" to share.  Next up for the class is to create their own song using the Garage Band Application for the iPad.

 

“Exercise and word search puzzles,” are two of the keys of long life according to Exeter resident Sylvia Reil Riley.  Riley turned 99 on Saturday and wasn’t planning anything special for her birthday.

 

Originally from Milford, Riley lived in Crete and Sutton before moving to Friend in 1958.  She has lived in Exeter the past few years.  She and her husband, who passed away in 1980, had five children, four are still living.
