Exeter-Milligan Update: History Harvest
History Harvest
By Brian Murphy, E-M Social
Studies Instructor
Several Exeter-Milligan
students recently participated in a History Harvest with Judy Dinneen. During
the morning visit, students scanned over 70 photos about the local community
from her albums. The project started two years ago when eight students traveled
to the University of Nebraska in Kearney to learn how to scan and document
photographs and artifacts of local historical value. The goal of the ongoing
History Harvest project is to document the history of the local area that lies
within the Exeter-Milligan School district. In addition, the goal is to
eventually make this history available for the public to view online.

By
Lisa Ricenbaw, Exeter-Milligan Spanish Instructor
The
Spanish 2 students put into action what they learned about air travel by
performing a skit going through each phase. Travelers Casey Jindra and
Brock Steuben started out taking a "taxi" to the airport. They
continued by checking in, getting a boarding pass and going through
customs. Airline agents Georgia Meyer, Jaiden Papik and Daisy Kanode
assisted them along the way.
