Exeter-Milligan JV Successful on Court

Exeter-Milligan JV played in a tournament held at Meridian school.   The team beat Lewiston, and then Deshler to win first place in the tournament. Exeter Senior Center Holiday Program

 

Helen Johnson a local artist from Geneva did a wonderful holiday musical program for those who attended lunch at the Exeter Senior Center on Tuesday.  She sang a variety of holiday songs

Exeter-Milligan Preschool Program

The Exeter-Milligan Preschool Class with their Santa masks on.

The Exeter-Milligan Preschool Class from the left Truman Milton, Aidan Vavra, Mikey Bartu, Brett Kallhoff, Katherine Hale, Kaylie Schlueter, Emma Christensen and Taylin Schluter.

The Exeter-Milligan Preschool class performed for their families on Thursday morning.  The preschoolers used their jingle bells to perform "Jingle Bells" and then did a snowman and snowlady song before donning their Santa masks and telling the crowd, "Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas."  After performing they enjoyed snacks and then had a surprise visit from T-Magic, the Exeter-Milligan Timberwolf.

Exeter's Decorated Up for Christmas

 

I don't think there is any amount of fog that this Rudolph couldn't guide Santa's sleigh through.  This giant reindeer was made by Norm Bristol and can be seen in his yard in Exeter.

 This nativity scene created by Norm Yound of Exeter sits right outside the Exeter United Church of Christ to remind the community of the reason behind the season.

 

Deer grazing in the yard at Sterling and Sharon Dyer's home have even changed their accessories to reflect the season.

All-Area Teams Announced

The York News Times announced their All-Area Teams recently with Exeter-Milligan represented well.

In Football, Sophomore Nolan White was chosen as a co-captain leading the pack in passing yards and third in total yards.  He also led the pack in tackles.

Sophomore James Sluka was also chosen for the first team and was fifth in receiving yards in the area.

Junior Robbie Androyna was also chosen for the first team.

In Volleyball, Senior Claire White was chosen as a co-captain for the first team along with Taylor Erdkamp.  Jackie Luzum was also chosen for the first team.  White was second highest in the area for kills, third for digs and fourth for blocks.  Erdkamp was was second in set assists.

Exeter-Milligan Update: Art Classes

Exeter-Milligan High School Art – by Mrs. Jill Shipley

The Art I classes are currently working on making a slab mug with a pulled handle.

They have already completed other clay works such as a coil pot, and slab pot with a lid.   They have been learning different clay terms also.

The Art II class has just completed their Pop Art painting.  They learned

about the Pop Art Movement and then compiled their own creation using popular images.

The Art III class has begun working in clay also and they are completing a slab pot and a functional teapot.

Congratulations to Exeter-Milligan Volleyball Members

The Omaha World Herald announced their All-State first and second team and Exeter-Milligan students appeared on the list.

Claire White, Senior, was chosen for the first team along with Junior Taylor Erdkamp.  White notched 332 kills, 45 ace serves and 53 blocks for the team this year.  Erdkamp made the books with a setting assist percentage of 97%.
Honorable mentions went to Juniors Jackie Luzum, Megan Zwickl, and Jennifer Pribyl and Sophomore Erica Yound.
